Here's a true story
When I was young I shared a small closet with my brother. We had to jam everything in. When pulling out a favorite sweater all the rest just came out along with it, sometimes falling on the floor. We endured this irritable situation 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.

Lucky thing  - we were too poor to have many clothes.
 
My uncle
The only thing that saved us was my uncle Hugh. Hugh was a very talented high school shop teacher. Stopping in at museums with his camera he would snap pictures of fine furniture and then proceed to turn out the perfect copies in his garage workshop.

He put me in control
Later, when he was let out of the insane asylum uncle Hugh came to my rescue and built a cabinet with drawers and doors to handle all our clothes. Actually he did a lot more than just design and build a cabinet...he put me in control.
 
What I learned
Hugh's gone now but I never forgot the lesson I learned. There's a lot of satisfaction in taking command of an out-of-control situation. Going from feeling buried in disarray to feeling like an overcomer - that's thrilling.

It's about the thrill
One thing I like about this business - initiating the thrill that people feel when their new cabinet or closet solution puts them in the drivers seat.

Years later...
By the spring of 1987 I was once again fed up with lousy closets.
After spending hard-earned money to purchase a house
I realized that the closets... were inadequate. 
Someone with little imagination had stuck me with their idea of an 'OK' closet but I was not happy.

I got steamed
You may be a victim too, they do it all the time. 
I found myself in the same boat with a lot of other home buyers - asked to settle for way too little. I wasn't going to take it anymore.

By now I was a professional (journeyman) carpenter, I could measure and cut a board, I could hammer a nail- so I designed a closet and built it, the first of many. As it turns out - thousands more have followed.

Here's what I know
One thing I'm sure of - nearly any closet can be improved.
Nobody has to live forever with lousy closets, it just takes
