7 Elements of luxury closet design
Has closet design gone over the top?

Elements of Luxury Closet Design

Luxury closet designers are the trendsetters in an evolving industry; I call it closet designers gone wild. Closet fashion like any other fashion is a follow-the-leader thing. Some are leaders – the rest follow. Trendsetters are early adopters...sniffing out every new and better twist on closet design.

Rich and famous homeowners take these 7 elements of luxury closet design for granted.

·       Color – White is still popular for contemporary closet systems but rarely the 1st choice for a true luxury closet. Wood grains are preferred.

·       A full length mirror is a must–have, but is not a qualifier. True luxury demands a 3-way full length mirror – so you can preview what the paparazzi will see when leaving the mansion.

·       Shoe shelves – not just any wire rack type of thing. Preferably shoe shelves should be tilted just so and have polished chrome or acrylic shoe stops to prevent slippage.

·       Drawers – super smooth gliders self-close the drawers...the same slides used in the $300,000.  Gourmet kitchens of the stars.

·       A bench seat – not for lounging but for the basic necessity of putting on your socks and shoes.

·       A safe for valuables. If you can afford a two thousand dollar fire proof safe you probably need one for all the bling bling, stacks of cash, and items of sentimental value.

·       Doors. That’s right - doors with or without glass add some wow factor and that’s not all. Doors are the perfect way to hide the disarray that appears when you’re getting dressed in a hurry and don’t take time to neaten things up after searching for the perfect fashion.

Consider the 7 elements of luxury closet design as a starting point. With imagination it’s easy to add to the list. Here’s one not to be overlooked - size. Size matters--the longer and wider the better when it comes to luxury closets. If the closet can’t accommodate an island in the middle it may not fall into the category of a genuine luxury closet.

Any luxury closet can be made even sexier with the addition of a stone counter top and mood lighting. Hang a chandelier over the stone topped island and everyone will be raving with envy.

Any closet designer can produce a set of plans which will use all the available space and create organizational opportunity. Including a high level of built-in beauty takes any closet to the next level where it can accurately be called a true luxury closet design.

A closet makeover will yield great benefits to you, whether you intend to sell your home sooner or later. Nothing is quite like the sense of peace and harmony that comes from having a beautifully organized wardrobe closet that greets you every morning. When you sell your home, a luxury closet is a feature that all potential home buyers will appreciate.

The value of true luxury can’t be measured but the cost of a luxury closet can range from $ 5 - $35,000. Or more. Actually the sky is the limit.walk-in closet
