Closet Plans Design Checker
Closet design firm recommends double checking  before signing off.

Boston, MA. Nov 22, 2009 Closet design firm recommends double checking before signing off on building plans
You can feel better about giving the ‘go ahead’ to your local custom closet installer after having received a third party opinion regarding the adequacy of your proposed closet makeover designs.  Getting a professional ‘once-over’ before committing to a closet renovation with its long term implications makes perfect sense. After all, you’ll be living with the results for quite some time. Few of us have prior experience with closet design and almost certainly no expertise in the field.
According to closet design firm founder Stephen Nickse one key to any successful closet makeover is flawless design “It is without question an imperative” says Nickse whose  claim to fame is that after purchasing a home with inadequate closet and storage systems in 1987 he founded ‘Closet Solutions’ www.closet-solutions.com a niche provider of cabinets, closets, and the like -  to help those pre-disposed to living the uncluttered life but lacking the needed infrastructure with which to accomplish the goal of maximized neatness in their homes.
Long years in the competitive closet wars with ‘me-too’ and ‘wanna be’ closet design competitors have served to hone the design skills that he claims come into play when prospective buyers  are comparing bids from 2-3 local contractors.
Submit your closet designs to him via fax or email and in return you’ll receive a one page review with suggestions for improving the design. There is no cost for the program which Nickse claims is done in the best interests of the evolving closet design industry. He says, “I’m creating a greater and better Buzz about the closet design industry as a whole, it’s a good thing”.
Industry salespeople known as ‘designers’ or ‘consultants’ offer in-home consultation (generally for free) for the purpose of measuring the closet space and taking inventory of personal items to be stored. This information when combined with observable customer ‘hot buttons’ results in designer recommended alterations which are then presented to the homeowner along with a price to implement the proposed changes.
Clearly not all designers were created alike, some being more gifted than their peers. But without a degree in closetology how will anyone be able to separate the wheat from the chaff? “That’s where I come in,” says Nickse, “closets are one of a kind and so is my offer, as far as I know no one else is providing this service”.
