Large Light box Store Fixture Construction.
When VIM Fitness of Cambridge needed help with shelving to display goods in an impactful visual setting they called Closet Solutions.
After some back and forth discussions regarding design ideas with manager Pierre Marks we have settled on a bamboo structure that's both functional and eye pleasing.
The display cabinets will be 20 feet wide, 8 feet tall, and nearly 2 feet deep. The extra depth will accomodate ten 6 foot flourescent 2-light fixtures purposed to backlight 10 Structured Bamboo Resin panels by 3form inc.
The bamboo panels will be a stunning backdrop for frosted glass shelves selected for soft-on-the-eyes presentation of goods commonly offered for sale at high end fitness centers. Frosted glass shelves will be provided by General Glass of Somerville, MA.
'Structured Bamboo' by 3form will be combined with Cali Bamboo plywood
The 3 form materials and bamboo plywood are on order for the built-in cabinets which will be precut in our Somerville facility and assembled at the VIM Gym. Light fixtures will be installed as soon as the structure is fastened to the wall. Cabinets will be off the wall 3/4" to allow for easy wiring by a liscensed electrician.
